Admissions
- Student applicants must be of good character, attitude, and citizenship. Gross misconduct or continued misbehavior will not be tolerated.
- Student and parents alike should understand it is a privilege for a student to attend CDCA, not a right.
- All Students entering CDCA will be for a probationary period of 9 weeks to determine their compatibility with the school and its standards, and the school’s ability to meet their needs.
- The school is not at this time equipped to train students with learning disabilities requiring special education programs. We will work with agencies necessary to provide individual students necessary assistance provided no financial or program burdens or restrictions are imposed on the school.
Central Delaware Christian Academy admits students without regards to race, color or national origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities of the school. This statement applies to employees also.
Kindergarten Students should be five years old by the first day of school. Kindergarten students may be tested in August before admission. All Kindergarten students younger than five by the first day of school will need to be tested.
First Grade Students should be six by the start of school.
All students transferring from other schools may be required to be tested in August before final admission and placement.
It can be extremely difficult to make up for four or five years of students not doing well in school, or not receiving the instructional background necessary to succeed in our program.
- In addition to the normal parent interview, an interview with the prospective student will be included.
- Past Academic records will be reviewed before applicant is accepted. Please have copies of Report Cards, Standardized Test Results and other academic information available.
- At least one character reference letter for the prospective student should be sent to CDCA by a pastor or teacher who currently, or has known the student within the last two years.
- Items 1, 3, and 4 of the general Admissions section should be especially reviewed by parents and students desiring new enrollment.
